Tony Reyes is operating 7 day trips from Magdalena Bay starting November and December 2009 . The trips will be on the boat ‘Tony Reyes’ with a maximum load of 27 anglers. The price will be $1,295.00 plus air fare which is approximately. $500.00 round trip on Alaska airlines to La Paz ,Baja Sur, Mexico from which tony will provide a bus to pick you up at the airport from Sundays Alaska Airlines flight and take you to Magdalena Bay to board the boat, to begin your angling adventure. The bus will return you to the La Paz airport the following Saturday morning for your return flight home. Cal star fishing rods will be provided free of charge for you to use during the trip so you can save having to carry an extra bag, rod tube, on the airplane. Sinkers will be available for sale on the boat so you will not have to carry them on your flight. Check with your airline for the current weight limits for ice chests and extra costs for extra baggage. All your fish will be filleted, vacuumed packed, frozen and packed in your ice chest for you flight home.

            You can expect to catch many different species of fish on these trips including: giant yellow fin tuna, wahoo, marlin, sailfish, dorado, yellowtail, halibut, snook, bass and grouper. You will fish offshore over the banks that surround Magdalena bay as well as inshore in the mangroves inside Magdalena bay.

            The boat will be fitted with bait tanks that will carry mackerel for your fishing. Nine 22 foot pangas, skiffs, will be on board to fish from carrying 3 anglers and a guide or you can fish from the big boat. Recommended tackle to bring:

• 100 lb. For trolling
• 80 lb. For tuna fishing with spectra line and top shot.
• 60 lb. For bottom fishing, yellowtail, snappers, etc.
• 40 lb. For wahoo, both bait and jigs
• 20 lb for fishing the mangroves for snook, etc.
• 2 wahoo trolling lures rigged with wire, Yo-Zuri bonitos                    
• 4 - 6 wahoo casting jigs, rigged with 90 lb. wire with single hook
• 12 wahoo 90 lb. wire bait leaders 5/0 hooks
• 10 each tuna hooks, 7/0 to 10/0 Owner Super Mutu
• 1 coil each; 130, 150, 200 lb. Mono leader material
• 1 marlin trolling jig of your choice
• 1 kidney harness
• 1 heavy duty rod belt
• Trolling safety strap
