Owner Rustop Corrosion Strips are a revolutionary, new product for fishing hooks and other steel products in saltwater environments. When applied to your hooks, Owner Rustop Corrosion Strips act as a sacrificial anode to prevent corrosion of the hook. When Rustop becomes corroded, it can be easily replaced to continue rust prevention. Thus, anglers can use high carbon steel hooks, which are harder and stronger than stainless steel hooks, with confidence that they will not rust. Because stainless is a softer material than high carbon steel, hook diameters must be thicker to achieve strength and points are weaker and tend to dull quickly. Because Owner Rustop Corrosion Strips attract corrosion, the hook will eventually corrode out of the fishs mouth. Stainless on the other hand, will not rust can kill or maim if it remains in the fish. Owner Rustop Corrosion Strips are available in 2-inch wide adhesive backed strips that can be cut into 1" X 1/2 sections.
