Tony Reyes Trip Report and Fish Count June 5th, 2011

June 14, 2011 – 12:20 pm

Jim Mitchell led this fantastic Tony Reyes trip June 5th to the 10th, 2011.

They fished the main islands including San Francisquito, The Enchanted Islands and The Golden Reef. The fishing was good and they were able to make bait a couple of nights. I love making bait, its fun fishing off the mothership in the middle of the night. Sometimes the bait fishing can be really good!

The weather was great for the entire trip, not windy and not too hot. The water temperature was 70 degrees, which is nice. Most of the fish were caught on jigs, the usual colors. Green and white, scrambled egg, blue and white and chrome. Salas 6X juniors performed the best, and light surface iron worked great for yellowtail on the surface. Overall it was a great and memorable trip, just like they always are!
