Tony Reyes Trip Report and Fish Count June 26th, 2011

July 7, 2011 – 2:58 pm

The trip began with a run from San Felipe to Bahia de Los Angeles to make bait and we did fill the bait tanks. We fished Isla Estanque where we nailed yellowtail from 20 to 32 pounds. We were also able to fight some cabrilla that morning, very fun! In the late afternoon we moved to Isla partida where we caught more yellowtail, cabrilla and other fun jig fish.

Tuesday morning was a repeat of the previous day with some nice yellowtail in the 37 pound range. Jimmy Liu of West Covina landed the big grouper of 100 pounds, it is his first Tony Reyes Trip!

Wednesday morning we fished the Punta Rocosa area of Angel de la Guardia Island, then around Refugio Island that afternoon. Fortunately we made live bait overnight and enjoyed fantastic cabrilla fishing that day.

Thursday morning with many fish over 20 pounds landed put yet another smile on our faces. The afternoon fishing in the Ensenada Grande area produced cabrilla, pargo and plently of miscellaneous fish.

Friday morning at Las Encantadas Islands we made bait again and limited on corvinas as well as caught some very nice cabrillas, spotted bass and one shark. A very good trip indeed!
