Tony Reyes Trip Report and Fish Count for September 18th-23rd, 2011
September 27, 2011 – 11:16 amHi everyone, we just returned from another great trip. We went to different islands such as La Guardia, Rasa Island, San Lorenzo and San Francisquito. I love fishing the islands of The Sea of Cortez, its so much fun and you never know what you will catch!
The weather was nice and calm but warm. It made the pargos quite active and we caught a bunch between 6-12 pounds. Yellowtail from 15-24 pounds and some very nice Dorado in the 12-30 pound range, nice! Bait was available three nights and we made what we could then used it to great effect.
Part of this trip was an ecological trip from Julian, Ca. They very much ennjoyed the view, used kayaks, went snorkeling and fishing. We even enjoyed a BBQ party on one of the islands with classic carne asada, cold beer and delicious grilled fish, how fun is that?
The last day we caught a bunch of spotted bass at The Golden Reef.
