Tony Reyes Trip Report and Fish Count for July 24th – 29th, 2011
August 11, 2011 – 6:58 pmIt was another beautiful trip in The Sea of Cortez, the weather was calm and fantastic!
They fished the main islands like La Guardia, Snake, Partida, Salsipudes and Refugio Island. The best fishing of the trip was at Snake Island, they water had an abundance of big 20-25 pound yellowtail. Fishing live bonita in the reefs produced some giant grouper and a 38 pound broomtail.
Diablo Point produced some small fish like spotted bass, sheephead and some pargo. The last day on Refugio they caught some large cabrilla on live bait and two more groupers! A few big grouper were lost as well. Over all it was a great trip with memories that will last a lifetime.
