Jose Andres Boat Fish Count and Trip Report May 16th, 2010

I love the Jose Andres, its the boat I have fished from the most. It reminds me of Mexico, of Tony Reyes Senior and of my dad. That boat and crew are great at fishing and of taking care of thier guests. You know when you board the Jose Andres you are going to catch fish.

The fishing was decent as the Steve Needham group are very skilled anglers. Steve does these trips every year and he rarely misses a bite. With the water still a chilly 61 degrees and the bait being scarce and small, they did well. They reported not making bait until the last night of the trip. Jack H. from Sandy, Utah caught a 121 pound grouper on a spotted bass mirrolure. Green and yellow jigs were the best baits for the yellowtail.
